On the ground
Cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge from Bridgeton and you're in New Castle County, where the housing stock runs from postwar rowhomes near Wilmington to newer construction pushing south toward Dover. The sandy, well drained soil that makes Delaware's beaches famous also means ground mounts and roof anchors get engineered differently than in the clay heavy ground up in South Jersey.
Down in Sussex County, Rehoboth Beach and Lewes have thick concentrations of vacation homes with HOA covenants that restrict where panels can face the street, so a lot of that work starts with a design conversation before permits even go in. Salt spray off the bay corrodes mounting hardware and inverter seals faster than it does further inland, which is why cleaning and maintenance schedules run tighter for anything within a couple miles of the coast.
