On the ground
The New York work runs mostly through Rockland and Orange counties, the stretch of the Hudson Valley closest to the New Jersey line, where colonial era farmhouses sit next to subdivisions built in the seventies and eighties. Heavy tree cover around towns like Suffern and Middletown means a lot of site visits start with a shading assessment before anyone talks panel count.
Winters up here run colder and longer than what we see back in Cumberland County, and ice damming around roof penetrations is a real concern, so sealing work gets done with that freeze thaw cycle in mind rather than the milder South Jersey pattern. Utility interconnection paperwork with the local co-ops and municipal providers also tends to move slower than what we're used to, so testing and commissioning gets scheduled with that lag built in.
